Club Quiz Nights

2024

The Studio Rotary Club of Elstree and Borehamwood is delighted to share the incredible success of our Quiz Night, held on November 16th, in support of SMA UK, the chosen charity for our 2024-25 President, Sam Covill.

The event was a true testament to the power of community, filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a vibrant atmosphere that brought everyone together for an important cause.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our fantastic quiz team—Sasha Capocci, Irmine Mason, Andrew Grady, and Pat Strack—whose hard work and dedication ensured a smooth, fun-filled evening. Their efforts, along with the invaluable support of our club members and their families, made the event a memorable success.

A special mention to Sasha Capocci for preparing a delicious spread that delighted our attendees. The menu featured a delightful variety of dishes, including an assortment of curries, a flavorful Vegetarian Quiche, and a classic Quiche Lorraine.

These dishes added to the warm, welcoming ambiance of the night and kept energy levels high for a night of spirited competition.
One of the evening's highlights was our raffle, which raised nearly £400.

This generous contribution brings us one step closer to supporting the vital work of SMA UK, helping to improve the lives of those affected by spinal muscular atrophy.

The quiz master for the evening was Peter Forrester, assisted by his wife Karen, who had prepared six challenging rounds for all to enjoy, and have fun.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who attended, participated, contributed, and supported our cause.

The enthusiasm and generosity exemplify the true spirit of community and charitable giving making initiatives like these possible, and we look forward to more events that bring our community together for meaningful impact.

Special thanks also to Fr. Jude and the Catholic Parishes of Elstree and Borehamwood for allowing us to stage our event in their Parish Hall.
