In 2018, a new club was founded to reflect the town's modern identity and cultural significance—The Rotary Club of the Studios of Elstree and Borehamwood.

This new club worked to improve local open spaces by organizing litter-picking events to enhance safety, protect wildlife, and reduce health risks.

They started a Book Swap project at Elstree & Borehamwood railway station.

The idea came from one of the members to help promote literacy and community connection.

The club holds collaborative charitable fundraising events with local performers such as:

  • Borehamwood Brass
  • Elstree Mozart Players
  • Hertsmere Acoustic Club

They also embraced digital engagement and social media to promote causes and connect with residents.

Over the years Hertsmere Borough Council has recognised the outstanding work many Rotarians have given to the community building a better town for all townsfolk given their life experiences.

This has included such dedicated people as: David Clout, Fred Thomas, Nick Male, Rev. Richard Leslie, Norman Shuker, Sasha Capocci, and Andrew Grady.
