Elstree Mozart Players Fundraising Concert 2024
Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK
On Sunday, September 29th, 2024, the Elstree Mozart Players delivered an extraordinary and captivating performance at Allum Hall, making their Autumn Concert one of the most memorable cultural events of the year.
The Elstree Mozart Players, founded in 2018 by Derek Holland, Pat Strack, and Andrew Grady, have quickly become a central part of Elstree's cultural scene.
This incredible evening, hosted in partnership with the Studio Rotary Club and Elstree & Borehamwood Rotary Club, was not only a celebration of classical music but also an opportunity to raise essential funds for SMA UK, the chosen charity of Studio Rotary President Sam Covill.
Sam extended heartfelt thanks to all the members of both clubs, notably President Elect George Carr, Cllr. Sandra Parnell, Sasha Capocci, and Andrew Grady, who with their dedication ensured the event ran smoothly and contributed significantly to its success.
The concert drew support from local dignitaries, including the Mayors of Hertsmere and Elstree, who attended to show their solidarity for the arts and the important cause.
Through this magical evening of music, over £300 was raised for SMA UK, exemplifying the deep connection between the arts and charitable giving.
The concert was a true testament to the Rotary Clubs' dedication to making a positive impact, bringing together community members in support of both local culture and meaningful causes.
This inspiring event showcased the power of music to uplift, unite, and make a real difference.
